Our Story
Born in a lockdown. Built to last.
In 2020, like a lot of people, we found ourselves furloughed with time on our hands. Dave's a designer. Ian's a developer. We'd both been building websites for years and we kept seeing the same thing: local businesses paying thousands to agencies who'd disappear after launch, leaving them stuck with a site they couldn't update and no one to call.
We launched MyWebGuys in the middle of the pandemic. Our first job was a passion project & full e-commerce site for a local florist. As soon as the site went live, within days it was generating sales from an audience they'd never reached before. Within a week, other local businesses were asking for help.
Five years on, we've built over 80 sites and our average client relationship runs over five years. Not because of a contract. Because we actually show up.

David Gardener
Dave handles design, client relationships, and making sure every site actually reflects the personality of the business behind it. He's been designing websites since 2020 and believes the user experience is paramount. He's also the one who replies to your email at 6am, coffee in hand.
Ian Hamilton
Ian is the technical brain behind every website build. Performance, security, custom integrations. He's the reason your site loads fast, never breaks, and does exactly what it should on every device. When something technically difficult needs doing properly, Ian's already done it three times and can explain it in plain English.
